Ages 25-35:
Have you ever been sitting around looking for an adult, only to realize that you ARE the adult? Quarter-Life Crisis? Oh, it’s real. Do you feel like you’re supposed to have it all figured out now, but still have no idea what you’re doing? Overwhelmed by relationships, work, bills, and all the other things that come with adulthood?
Bring it. Let’s unpack everything that is going on.
-
Heart pounding, palms sweating, you’re exhausted. Anxiety isn’t just being a little nervous. It’s feeling overwhelmed by intrusive thoughts and symptoms you can’t control. It’s worrying too much about everything. It’s judging yourself negatively all the time. Anxiety sucks. It's awful. And it’s real. Through therapy, you'll gain skills to combat your anxiety as well as challenge that tendency to jump to only negative conclusions.

Does it feel like someone kicked a beehive in your brain? ADHD is more than being a little distracted. It’s being hyper-focused on something one minute and unable to return to it when interrupted. It’s knowing you have to start something but not doing it and not knowing why. It’s time blindness, task paralysis, and the inability to sit still. You are more than your ADHD. Let’s work together to help you calm those bees.

“I don’t want to die, I just don’t want to be here anymore.” I can’t tell you the number of times I’ve heard this. Depression is more than sadness. It’s feelings of helplessness, hopelessness, and worthlessness. It’s intrusive thoughts, poor memory, and fatigue. It’s apathy, numbness, and emptiness. Depression sucks. It feels like you’ll never be happy again. It’s ok to have these feelings. Let’s talk about them.
-
Do you question how people manage family, friends, and romantic partners? Feel exasperated that your friends are getting married and you’re still single? Discussing marriage, kids, and big life changes with a partner? Relationships take a lot of work. It’s okay to struggle in this area, it’s all a little overwhelming. I’m here to listen with no judgment.

You’re an adult now! Congratulations! At this point in your life, you’re expected to know who you are, your likes, your dislikes. You’re supposed to be self-aware. You’re expected to know your purpose. But what if you don’t have all the answers yet? Let me let you in on a secret, adults don’t have it all figured out and that’s ok. In therapy, we’ll talk about who you are, and who you want to be. Topics may include self-confidence, self-love, resilience, wellness. It's time to treat yourself with the same compassion you share with others in your life.

Let me guess, you are the type of person that has ridiculously high expectations of yourself. You’re the type that HAS to get things right, and it has to be on the first try, or else you're consumed by feelings of failure and fears of rejection. I’m here to help you recognize perfectionism, identify where it stems from, and make a plan to deliberately avoid it.

Maybe you’re the type that buys a planner, uses it for a week, and then never checks it again. Maybe you’re on top of everything and have your schedule planned to a T. Maybe you’re in grad school trying to juggle classes on top of work. Maybe you’re employed and overwhelmed by supervisors, co-workers, deadlines, and those mandatory celebrations with cake. Throw in a pandemic where your home is now your office and there’s no escape from it. Put that on a loop five days a week for-ev-er… Most people feel overwhelmed and exhausted trying to manage it all. Remember, your mental health is important. I’m here to support you with goal setting, time management, and motivation.

Everyone keeps asking, “what do you want to do with your life?” You’re dealing with bills and time management, and keeping your place clean, and feeding yourself, and, and, and… You’re overwhelmed, exhausted, and you don’t know what to say. I’m here to tell you it’s okay to not have an answer to this and to not know what your future holds. But, it’s not enough to just hope for a happy life; it’s a combination of mindset, routines, and habits working together to get you there.
Or maybe you’re looking at your life and think, “this is fine, I guess.” There’s nothing is terribly negative or awful, but you just don't feel whole, fulfilled, satisfied - however, you'd describe it. I can help you focus on your values, what's meaningful to you, and assist with moving you towards a life that works for you.
